Hello, I am Connie Marks and I am the founder of Remote BA. Born in New York, I lived in Las Vegas most of my adult life and I now reside in Alabama with my husband, children and grandchildren.
I have 28 years experience in dental administration. Through out my career I have worked with offices / teams of all sizes all across the country. I am proficient in all aspects of the front desk with a high emphasis on insurance and insurance billing. As a former Regional Manager and Executive Director I am also skilled in the overall operations of a dental practice.
People are my passion. I love sharing my knowledge and expertise and enjoy helping doctors and their teams reach their fullest potential.

Originally from Louisiana, I began my career in dentistry as a dental assistant in 1998. After discovering I was allergic to several of the chemicals and materials commonly used in clinical settings, I transitioned to front office roles where I found my true strength. Over the past 25 years, I have worked on and off in dental front office positions, including management, gaining extensive experience in patient coordination, office operations, and administrative support.
I am a dependable, detail-oriented professional with a strong commitment to accuracy and organization. I take pride in providing reliable support and helping maintain efficient workflows, especially in remote or administrative environments. Guided by strong faith and family values, I approach my work with integrity and a genuine desire to serve and help others.
Outside of work, I enjoy fishing, riding horses, working in the yard, and caring for rescued dogs and cats.

I grew to love dentistry through my mother who has been a dental assistant for 30 years. I started my career in the dental field at the age of 15, working the front desk filing charts and developing xrays. I continued to grow in the field over the next 13 years. I had the opportunity to live abroad and spent 5 years in Europe. It was during my time in Europe that I met my mentor, a dentist who I worked with all 5 years as his office manager. I also assisted him with implant and surgical procedures. During that time in Europe, I met my husband who is active-duty military and we now have three beautiful children.

Beyond my professional life, I am the proud parent of two grown children, who have been a constant source of inspiration and joy. Their success and happiness are among my greatest achievements.
In addition to my work in dentistry, I am deeply committed to giving back to the community. I volunteer with CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates), where I focus on educational decision-making for foster children. This role allows me to advocate for the best interests of children in need, ensuring they have access to the educational resources and support necessary for their success.
My approach to dentistry is rooted in compassion, experience, and a commitment to the well-being of my patients. I look forward to continuing to serve my community and making a positive impact both inside and outside the dental office.
